The CPI(M) leaders on Tuesday alleged that many of the 13 points on which an agreement was reached, including construction of a jetty, with fishermen and the displaced of the Naval Alternate Operating Base project at Rambilli, still remained unresolved.
“Even a site is yet to be decided decided for the fishing jetty by surveying Kottapatnam, Vada Narsapuram and Bangarammapalem as promised and a dredging pipeline is being freshly laid including another 150 acres,” the CPI(M) leaders said after submitted a memorandum to Joint Collector G. Srijana along with representatives of various organisations, here.
Major demands
In the representation, they demanded construction of jetties, 90% work to local people in construction and permanent jobs under Class IV, disposing pending packages, a Kendriya Vidyalaya and health infrastructure, recognition cards to all the displaced and including Kottapeta and Chinakalavalapalli in affected villages. The displaced have been on an agitation near the Navy establishment, said CPI(M) leader Ch. Narsinga Rao.
